It is a very interesting software to learn because it allows the interface with the CNC machine.

Programs:

On this day we were all by the work to produce the element that will compose the different realization.

The group with the table had also to make the template for the welding of the metal pieces.

Then in the afternoon we recreated the groups to produce the different realizations planned for the week.

People worked on different parts like:

  • The flow for the standby table and the chairs, as well as for the bench.
  • The template for the vacuum press to the bent parts of the lamp.
  • Try resistance and flexibility for the realization of the shelf.
  • And in our group we also learned how from a solidworks drawing saved in dxf to make the CNC program with a postprocessor for machine to make the top and bottom pieces.

  • Gluing the plywood top laminate, making the form of the legs from the table and chairs.
  • Producing the legs and the top pieces from the bench.
  • Gluing veneer on rubber.
  • Making the form from the lamp. And making the support for the strips for the second lamp.
  • Gluing the side form of the rounded cabinet.

Thursday, 21.03.2019:

Thursday morning began with a visit to a legendary company in Hamburg. The Steinway Company is one of the most famous companies when it comes to making pianos, and at the moment the best pianos builder. We were able to discover their entire manufacturing process from start to finish.

Friday, 22.03.2019:

In the morning we had two or three hours to finish most of the products, and we finished with the presentation of all of them.

All participants arrived on the 9 o'clock and soon after we started working with the woodwop software. We learned how to use this software in broad outline which allowed us to appropriate and use it to do some practical exercises.

Report of Learning, Teaching, Training activities 4 Lübeck, Germany

This day it was a lot of planning work, making the form for the little cabinet and all kind of stuff that we had to do.

In the afternoon we had a presentation of Pytha software that allows to make drawings in 3D.

We saw that a great part of the quality of the pianos comes from the selection made upstream for the choice of materials.

And in the afternoon, we continued the work for the pieces.
